Two men meet at a funeral. Gil knew the deceased. Benny did not. Before long their families are close. Soon they’ll be singing the same tune.

Benny is a loner anchored by his wife and children. Gil longs to fulfil his potential. They form a deep bond but as cracks appear in their fragile lives, they start to realise that true courage comes in different forms.

Our creative approach was to capture the intimacy, energy and story that was being told on stage by these 2 incredible actors. We had to build a 280 degree platform around the stage and adapt the blocking in order to make it work for the camera, while also putting cameras on tracks and using a steadicam. This was all part of the creative process to bring this show to life on screen.

After a successful, sold out live stream run (which the Almeida had to extend to an additional night), it was then taken by Sky Arts and is still available to watch now.
